Our Newport News branch awarded three employees as “top employees” for the month of July for their outstanding performance.
Amechi Green is supporting Stormwater Operations at the City of Newport News and responds to service requests, works on preventative maintenance that helps to prevent flooding and property damage, and conducts safety briefings and training.
“Mr. Green consistently demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities while on the job and is considered a role model within his work group and it is appreciated by many,” said Rob Torrey, Green’s supervisor, who was particularly pleased with how Green meets or exceeds departmental goals. “Mr. Green has said on many occasions that he enjoys his job duties and assisting in training to perform required tasks in a safe and efficient manner. He always displays positive and professional behaviors and his great work ethic does not go unnoticed. He sets the bar high when it comes to being a team player and he is always willing to help others meet expected standards.”
We also recognized Christopher Abbot and Carolyn Bynum at Canon Virginia, Inc:
“Christopher is a great asset who is doing a wonderful job. He is an excellent trainer and team leader. He is very production and quality minded. He asks questions. And is very motivated to meet goals,” said Abbot’s supervisor David Saunders.
“Carolyn is my ‘go to’ person! She is very dependable, never complains, and will always assist. When we set goals for the team, Carolyn will take the initiative to meet and exceed expectations. For example, if she sees there is a member struggling to meet the set goal of the day, she will support and ensure that the team’s production is complete. Carolyn is an AWESOME team member!” said Bynum’s supervisor Kim Washington.
Congrats Amechi, Christopher, and Carolyn on a job well done!Share this Post
