Hampton Roads Staffing Firm First to Earn Workers Compensation Certification, Upgrades Services, Recognized for Quality and Safety
Reliance Staffing Offers Workers Compensation and Online Applicant Entry
Newport News, VA (May 3, 2006) - As the Hampton Roads economy continues to grow and gain momentum, Reliance Staffing (www.reliancestaffing.com) has raised the employment services industry standards in the region with two new programs: a Worker's Compensation Risk Certification program and a new online applicant entry capability. Reliance Staffing is the only staffing firm in the Hampton Roads area currently holding the Worker's Compensation Risk Certification.
Worker's Compensation Risk Certification (WRC)
For the staffing industry, workers compensation insurance is one of the most costly and complex issues. Conferred by third party Risk Control Services, The Worker's Compensation Risk Certification recognizes Reliance as a staffing firm operating with the greatest degree of safety and risk management. This certification is important for the business community to understand because it means Reliance can be trusted to recognize and control risks, lower related costs, and help keep employees safe in their work environments. The program also supports public advocacy of the employment services industry.
At the end of 2005, the American Staffing Association (ASA) and Risk Control Services developed the new certification program that incorporates a new risk management training protocol for the staffing industry - The Worker's Compensation Risk Certification (WRC). "Now there is a better way for staffing firms to control risk, lower costs, and keep employees safe," said ASA president and CEO, Richard Wahlquist.
"Recognition by new The Worker's Compensation Risk Certification is an important message for our business community," said Lynn Connor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Reliance Staffing. "As partners with our clients, we want to be sure we are always providing comprehensive services with the highest quality possible. Our goal is to ensure our clients remain fully productive and confident in our turn-key service."
Having deep understanding of exposures to potential loss and the performance of strategies to avoid and manage losses, Reliance helps client businesses to manage employment risk confidently.
Online Applicant Entry
The online applicant entry capability recently adopted by Reliance Staffing is provided by sister technology company, COATS (Complete Office Automation for Temporary and Staffing Services). The new application process allows employment candidates to apply with Reliance online at their convenience. Once an application is submitted, follow-up interviews can be scheduled.
Online application entry streamlines the traditional process involving several visits, while making it easier for candidates who may not have the flexibility to visit one of the Reliance locations more than once or twice.
"Offering this service will speed the process and make it easier on people seeking employment," added Ms. Connor. "In our competitive environment, this feature will help applicants and our clients equally by bringing new people into the system more efficiently."
Being recognized as Worker's Compensation Risk Certified and improving the software capabilities gives Reliance Staffing a competitive edge in the Hampton Roads area that benefits our diverse business community.
