Like we said earlier this week, we’re big believers in community activities. This weekend, we’re proud to add another activity: building a playset for Wes, a beautiful 5-year-old who’s recovering from cancer, via the Roc Solid Foundation‘s Play It Forward program.
The Roc Solid Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging and promoting one of the best cancer-fighting forces on earth: hope. The foundation builds dozens of playsets for children who are undergoing treatment for cancer or who are recently in remission. Their philosophy is that kindness, fun, joy and love can play a huge role in helping a child recover.
This is the child we’ll be building a playset for this weekend: Wes.
Just looking at that smile and the love his parents obviously have for him makes us feel grateful for the chance to add some happiness to his life.
In conjunction with our sister staffing software company, COATS, we’ve donated $3,300 to the Roc Solid Foundation over the past year, but we’re really excited about this weekend’s build. (We’ll post pictures and video of the build on Monday.)
If you’d like to support the Roc Solid Foundation’s work, or you’d like to nominate a child recovering from cancer for a playset, you can do that on their website.
