Tom Sarach Jr — Senior Vice President
Tom Sarach, Jr., has more then 25 years of experience in the staffing industry and leads more than 3500 employees. He joined Reliance in 1989 as a technical placement specialist and became president in 2008.
Tom has always regarded corporate responsibility highly and has served or supported: The Alzheimer’s Association, Cerebral Palsy of Virginia, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia, Arthritis Foundation, Roc Solid Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, VECTEC, Rotary Club of Hampton Roads, Suffolk Ruritan Club, Kiwanis, Hampton Roads Proton Therapy, Stonebridge School, and Princess Anne Elementary PTA. He has also previously served as the Chairman of the American Staffing Association’s Industrial Section Policy Council and the Chairman of the Virginia Council.
Fun fact: Tom is an avid lover of water sports, winter sports and flying.
Chris Williams – Senior Vice President
Chris comes to PeopleShare with over 18 years of experience in the staffing industry. Prior to his current role, Chris worked for Bradley-Morris, the nation’s largest firm specializing in placing veterans into corporate careers. There, he quickly advanced through a succession of roles of increasing scope and responsibilities including Recruiter, Branch and Regional Operations Manager, Director of Staffing, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Operations.
Chris entered the staffing industry after a successful career as an Army Aviation Officer. During his time in the U.S. Army, he distinguished himself as a graduate of the Initial Entry Rotary Wing (Aviation) school, Airborne school and Air Assault school.
Chris earned undergraduate degrees in American Legal Studies and Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was also a multiple varsity letter-winner and a member of the Dean’s list. He is a member of the West Point Society of Hampton Roads and the Hampton Roads Society for Human Resource Management. Chris currently resides in Chesapeake, VA with his wife Julia and their two sons, Anderson and Emory.
Beverley Baraniak – Loss Prevention and Risk Management
Beverley Baraniak serves as our Risk and Loss Prevention Manager. She joined Reliance as a placement specialist in 2010 and transitioned into her current role in 2016. She has more than 15 years of HR experience, including staffing, training and development, employment compensation, workers compensation, and administering health insurance benefits. She holds a Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR) and is a Society of Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
Sandy James- Sales Manager
Sandy James has been Reliance’s Sales Manager for 25 years. Before joining Reliance, she spent 13 years as a national executive recruiter and was a Certified Staffing Professional. This deep knowledge of staffing makes Sandy one of Reliance’s greatest assets, because she understands how different levels of staffing can help a business rather than trying to sell a one-size-fits-all solution. Stephanie Lamb – Branch Selling Manager
Stephanie Lamb is the Branch Manager of our Suffolk office. She’s been in human resources for more than 15 years, staffing more than 10 years and with Reliance since 2008. Stephanie is a Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) . Her human-resources background has given her a strong foundation in understanding the HR needs of different companies and industries. She is consistently praised for her dedication to our client businesses and her can-do attitude.
Shawn Owen – Branch Selling Manager
Shawn Owen is a people person who is constantly networking. Before joining Reliance, Shawn spent 30 years in the Interior Design business where she built a reputation for excellent customer service. Steve Wyatt – Branch Manager
Steve joined the Newport News Reliance team in 2019. He comes with 17 years of outside sales, and sales leadership experience in Hampton Roads. Steve has been a Hampton Roads resident since 1991, and is deeply invested in the growth and success of the Peninsula. A graduate of Christopher Newport university, Steve leads a dynamic team of individuals who specialize in finding companies quality candidates for light industrial, clerical, warehouse, customer service, and financial positions. He is active in the community, many charities, and has also been coaching Warwick Little League baseball for the last 5 years. Steve is also a proud member of the Poquoson Masonic Lodge.
