We believe the measure of business success goes beyond financial accomplishment. Reliance contributes to organizations and community projects that improve the quality of life in Hampton Roads. We are involved in a variety of volunteer and leadership roles in numerous professional organizations.
Reliance is a proud member of both the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. We support both Chambers in their mission to attract new business to the area, help existing businesses expand and improve the local workforce.
Reliance is a supporting member of the Hampton Roads branch of the Society for Human Resource Management. In fact, Sam Morton, our Newport News Branch Manager, is President of this association.
We are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The BBB awards that distinction to companies with a proven track record of operating in an ethical, transparent and responsive manner.
As a member of the Virginia Manufacturers Association, we strive to help create an environment that encourages world-class businesses to locate their manufacturing and headquarters in Virginia for maximum productivity and profitability.
We are proud members of the Virginia Council of the American Staffing Association. Launched in 2015, the Virginia council consists of ASA member companies committed to advancing the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry. ASA Councils engage with local leaders, organizations, and regulators.

Reliance Staffing & Recruiting staffers have also volunteered for the Roc Solid Foundation, which builds playsets for children who are beating cancer. In late 2011, Reliance built a playset for a little boy in recovery from leukemia on the Peninsula.
Reliance sponsors events for these organizations as well, including Roc Solid’s Night for the Fight, SHRM Hampton Roads luncheons and others. Reliance has also donated office equipment to several local nonprofit organizations throughout the years and has donated temporary help and recruiting time to worthy nonprofit organizations.
